Bookmark and Share

Diary Entry:
Heavy Picket firing at 1 A.M. which lasted half an hour. The weather has been splendid from the time we broke camp on thursday morning, except the mud. at night we have had just frost enough to make the ground muddy through the day. Hancocks Division lost 27 Officers killed, and 108 wounded, and 3500 men killed, wounded and missing in the battle on the 13th.

In our Brigade the loss is over 600 and in our Regt. over 50 killed, wounded and missing. At dark to day the troops in the City were all drawn up in line, and at 9 P.M. our Brigade was sent out on Picket duty.

See scanned diary page.
